Out of 100 who feel called…99 still say NO to missions.

9 clear missions paths that:

• bring the gospel to lost people

• wipe the smile off the devils face

• just may surprise you

Here’s a breakdown of each one: 🧵👇

Path #1: Business as Mission platform

Didn’t think an entrepreneur can do missions work?

Many in sensitive or hard-to-access countries MUST do this.

Allows someone to stay in a country for long enough to make a gospel difference.

Not a business person? Next one’s for you 👇

Path #2: Job Taker or Bi-vocational

Already have a job? People do your job in other countries? It’s possible to be a bi-vocational missionary.

• Still move to a new place

• Raise little support

• Use your skills

Never had a job? Or still in school?

This ->

Path #3: Summer Internships

Crack the door open and come for 6 weeks.

It unlocks:

• Long enough to get a real taste

• Short enough that it doesn’t cost much

• Insight into YOUR life — (new cultures do that)

AND…

Path #4: One Year Internships

Finishing college and feel open?

Give a year, and pray about a lifetime.

We had 4 give-a-years on a team:

• they picked up the language crazy fast

• made friends in the community

• 2 locals chose Jesus

• 1 got baptized

• Jesus was glorified

Path #5: Short term trips

The most effective bridge from considering a missions career to actually going for good.

You’ll raise funds or pay your own way.

Expect to serve. Don’t expect to change the world. Allow God to shape your heart.

Path #6: Virtual Missions Trips/Experiences

This is the most underrated advice of all.

If you haven’t done a short term trip and there isn’t one open, go on a virtual trip. Churches and missions agencies are doing these more and more.

Usually less than $200, and WAY worth it.

Path #7: Medical Missions

If you have medical/dental/nursing background, you can guess what this is.

Lots of incredible places in the world needing medical help.

Raise your hand if this is you.

Path #8: Member care

If you have life experience and and have capacity to help younger people through life’s nonsense…this could be fulfilling.

• May not need to study local language

• The need is great

• Life stuff is life stuff in any country

• May require less funding

TL;DR — 8 paths to missions from @SENDorGO that change the game:

• Path #1 Business as MIssion

• Path #2 Job Taker

• Path #3 Summer Interns

• Path #4 One Year Interns

• Path #5 Short Term Trips

• Path #6 Virtual Trips

• Path #7 Medical Missions

• Path #8 Member Care
